In a world where 1.9 billion people are using social networks, there is always space for a new, exciting app that can potentially do it’s part for the world. And with social network users set to grow to around 2.5 billion by 2018, the earlier you get in, the better.
That’s exactly what South African entrepreneur, Socratis Avgitidis, thought, and that’s why he put together RatePop, an app that allows users to rate anything and everything, or request that something specific be rated. He says, “If it can be thought, it can be rated.”
In the companies own words, RatePop ’empowers users to rate any conceivable subject, product, service, idea or experience; and simultaneously aggregates this data, to provide sophisticated statistical analytics in real time’.
In my own words, I think RatePop has the potential to be a very cool app. You look at the way that companies like Booking.com and TripAdvisor online, and Zomato app-wise, have changed the game by allowing users to make judgements on accomodation and restaurants based on constantly updating reviews. RatePop allows us to do that with everything.
For instance, you can see exactly how highly (or poorly) a store ranks. If you need to buy some new running kicks, but need help selecting a pair, RatePop will let you check out options and make an informed decision on where to buy them.
It’s really easy to use, whether you just want to rate things or post your own to have them rated, I’ve stuck a few screenshots underneath here so you can have a look…
You can rate and comment on each page and it will tailor what comes up on your newsfeed to suit the things that you like. Simple, right?
Anyway, go check the app (you an download it here), give me a follow (YesWeCrann) and let me know what you think!
