This month’s #SneakOfTheMonth may seem a little bit familiar because, well, it’s an Air Max 1. But this one has a very homely feel to it and takes me back to when I was a little kid.
So I was never allowed expensive trainers. I was only allowed Nike if we found them on sale, and my mum ALWAYS insisted on me having all leather trainers. I had quite bad feet growing up (leather is breathable) and she thought that leather lasted longer (it probably does!).
Anyway, so these Pinnacles that Shelflife have got back in stock now are leather EVERYWHERE, and I love the monochrome look that they’ve got.

You can’t really go wrong with an all black shoe to be honest, especially if it’s a design as versatile as the Air Max 1. This sneaker has been being made for like 30 years, and it’s more popular now than it ever has been. 
Also, and this might not be important to some of you but it is for me, because of what these kicks are made of, they’re SUPER easy to clean. Pretty much a wipeaway kind of clean to be honest. These are a classy, classy sneaker. There’s something about having things in leather that makes them look so smart, and the monochrome look on an Air Max 1 comes out beautifully.
SNEAK FACT!! – Nike is named after the Greek goddess of victory, and is actually pronounced “ny-kee”, despite being mispronounced in many places around the world.
