Guys, guys, guys!!! So this month’s Shelflife #SneakOfTheMonth is a SUPER exciting one… Not just because the shoe is super cool, but also because there is a crazy amount of variety.

Recently I got my first pair of flyknits, I went for the Air Force 1 (also my first) and they are absolutely fantastic. Like truly. So when I heard that the folks over at Nike were making Air Max 1 versions, I was pretty darn chuffed.

There is a slight problem though… My people over at Shelflife are getting a whopping SEVEN different colourways of the Air Max 1 Flyknits, and that isn’t including the specifically women’s University Red ones. How on earth are we meant to choose??

I don’t know how many of you have owned a pair of Air Max 1s before, but the originals are quite clumpy and not so comfy. However, as the years have gone by they’ve gotten better and better, and the most recent version are one of the comfiest kicks you’ll find.

Now, add the ‘Ultra’ and ‘Flyknit’ to a pair of 1s and, my friends, we have a serious sneaker on our hands. They’re so incredibly comfortable, and brilliant breathable too. You won’t be getting stinky feet syndrome in these babies.

My Take: 9.5/10
Seriously, I’m not sure there will be a more inclusive shoe brought out this year. Comfort, class, history, and a colourway for EVERYBODY.

SNEAK FACT!!! – Next year will be the 30th anniversary of the Air Max 1. Tinker Hatfield designed – with pretty much this exact same look – way back in 1987.
